ALL ABOUT LICENSES:

• Class 1 License – these are authorizations that a B2C operator must obtain in order to offer gambling services on the Romanian market (offline) and to other customers worldwide (online).
• Class 2 License – this license is required for B2B suppliers operating in the gambling industry who provide products/services to B2C operators:

1. Manufacturers, distributors and other persons engaged in activities involving gaming equipment or gaming components;
2. Software providers;
3. Platform management and hosting service providers;
4. Casino live streaming/broadcasting service providers;
5. Certification laboratories, auditors and conformity assessment bodies;
6. Payment systems;
7. Marketing affiliates.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Class 1 and Class 2 licenses are readily obtainable, provided that operators comply with the applicable licensing requirements.

Class 1 License is valid for ten years and may be renewed for an identical period of time, whereas the authorization is normally granted for one year and must be renewed/extended annually.
Class 2 License is valid for ten years, subject to payment of the annual license fee for the applicable term.

License applications are reviewed within 30 days from the date of submission of the complete documentation. Only operators from the EU, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation may apply for a license and authorization.
